Scrappers Delight New Release

Its New Release time at Scrappers Delight and the DT got some great images to play with

I was originally stuck for ideas for the Pixie Fawn until I decided to print her up nice and big, her face was such a delight to colour, she really has some stunning features and it took no time at all to colour her up.

And
Pixie

Look at her wings.. they are huge and begging for glitter and colour, you can change her up what ever way suits.

It was such a welcome relief to sit in the craft room and colour and play with different combinations. I even grabbed some 6inch paper pads and scarily... USED them!

Sugar Nellie

So I believe I'm a closet Sugar Nellie addict.  I collect these beautiful images, label their packaging lovingly and then store them away safely.  Well time to change that silly habit and to get my stamps inky.   I coloured up this beauty for the first time (ie.. its never been inked before eek) and just love her, the images are just begging for colour and more importantly glitter of some sort.

There is a DT call over at Sugar Nellie at the moment

Fifa Goes Walkies is the lovely image I used below.

Aurora's Gift

What a delight of an image this is, I couldn't wait to colour her up.

Another beauty from The East Wind who never ceases to amaze me with her style and the she is such a versatile artist.

I used texture paste on my card base (well actually its whipped spackle) and added few embellishments, as the image really says it all.

You can find all the new releases over at the store

All Dressed Up

I made this card a few weeks ago for this challenge and really enjoyed the process.  I started with the card base prior to colouring the image up.
I really love the red and green combo.

I used is from the Digi release
Three Little Party Girls

I used my new MISTI stamp tool to get that perfectly straight sentiment, I think you could see my giggling with joy when I realised how awesome the MISTI is.

Pretty in Pink at Polkadoodles

Have you all checked out the current challenge over at Polkadoodles
we have the theme of "Pretty in Pink" and we would love to see your creations.

The DT have outdone themselves, I love how every style is different.

I used the Swimmer Girl from Work and Play 4 (or individual download) and matched her up with papers from Work and Play 8 and the Eden Collection.  Im excited to say that no matter what collection I print up the papers all seem to coordinate well.    From brights to subtles, your needs are well in truly met in these sets.

I used my MFT Blueprints with this card for the die cut elements and added the sequins to tie the colours together.

As you can see PINK isnt my go to colour normally, I toned the card down with the grey spots which made the swimmer pop!

So looking forward to seeing what you create with this challenge

Diva Lisa - Cheeky

I can't tell you how much fun I had colouring up this beauty

She has some attitude huh,  I was at retreat when completing her and got all exciting when I realised I had the perfect sentiment set to match her.  A few ladies and I agreed on a couple of appropriate sentiments but ended up with the one shown below!

Please head over to the Etsy Store and see what else is on offer

We also have a great Facebook group, were you can play in challenges, be updated on special discounts and more.

Scrappers Delight for Creative Fingers

Another challenge over at The Creative Fingers challenge blog today and we were lucky enough to have Scrappers delight sponsor us.

I chose Manga Beach 4 to play with and got a touch excited with the white pen on her hair, which led to a card that was no where near my first thoughts, but to honest I love it, a bit of humour for the day.
This is especially relevant to me as we plan to go on a cruise soon as the colder days are hitting Sydney.

We hope to see you over at the challenge blog and visiting our sponsor too

Polkadoodle Inspiration - Use your Dies

Have you all checked out the current challenge over at Polkadoodles
we have the theme of "Use a Die" and there is still time to enter.
The DT has some inspiration for you this week incase your lacking some MoJo.

I used the wonderful Eden Collection for my card, looking beyond the beautiful digital images that are begging to be coloured up and looking at the papers and embellishments in the collection, I was motivated to create a card that is a little different for me.  I had been looking at challenges and noticed that non square or rectangle card themes were a popular idea of late so I grabbed some dies and off I went.

I used my Little B circle die set to create the card base (cutting the card stock double ensuring that the top edge of the circle wasn't in the die cut so I had a folded circle)  and then I used some smaller dies for the patterned paper circle, the paper was also from the Eden Collection.  I realised that I didn't have a good size die for the card matt's so cameo to the rescue for that.     My butterfly embellishment was a print and cut on the cameo, cut twice and layered up and inked with vintage photo ink.  It wasn't intentional that the pattern paper from the circle and banner and the butterfly matched but "bonus" that it did.  I had cut bits and pieces out and put them aside not really paying attention to what patterns I had chosen.   I finally did the rolled up gold thread idea under an embellishment too.
The Happy wording was cut on my cameo, three times and glue together to give it some bulk.

I seconded guessed myself with this card and asked for some advice, so take two has a few additions, normally I would add three flowers but I didnt leave enough room.  The Eden Kit has lots of flower embellishments in it I could of used but my brain had turned off.   These photos show the difference of taking a photo in the day light and at night,  It doesnt look quite as vintage as the second photo.

So now its your turn, grab your Polkadoodle files and your dies and see what magic happens.

Im thrilled with this card, my kids are often looking for cards for their friends and they tend to steer away from coloured images, so I don't think this card is going to last long in my stash.

Aurora Summer Breeze is this months Freebie

I have to apologize for my photo of this card, I made her at camp and spent hours and hours working with the card.  The card got smaller and smaller and smaller as I got more and more frustrated!

When another camper came and asked about the card for her granddaughter I was keen to see the back of it.  So I took a quick snap on my phone!   I was thrilled with my colouring and the embellishments, cut with my poor cutting and inky fingers getting all of the card.

The lady who has the card was giving it to her granddaughter as she felt Aurora looked like the Ice Queen from Frozen.  A big compliment I thought.

So here is my snapshot!
