The East Wind for Creative Fingers

Im playing with Team A today as I couldn't resist playing with one of my other DT's especially when I saw the images I could use.   The image I used has such a huge head of hair.  I blew up the image and made the focus on her lovely face.

I had just received my newest MFT dies in the stitched rectangle frames and I was busting to use them.

I have linked up my image and products used in Inlinkz below please go and Visit the East Wind and see what other lovely's she has for you.  I promise you won't be disappointed.

The Creative Fingers challenge blog may be running a bit late for this challenge as our wonderful boss is having internet trouble, so please keep checking back to see when the challenge is up.

Im going to play in the following challenges

In Remembrance xx

I had the absolute pleasure of nursing a lovely lady who never failed to make me smile, she passed suddenly last week when I was at craft camp, and the whole time I was away I was thinking of her.   I am so grateful that I had a good chat to her on Tuesday, we laughed and made jokes and discussed random things while eating cake.  I know I was her nurse but I looked forward to seeing her and talking to her and I am going to miss her dreadfully.

Anyway, her funeral is on tuesday and I wanted to make a card using some of her favourite things.  Purple and roses were the first thing that came to mind.

I used the print and cut feature on my portrait  and layered the roses after adding some ink to the edges of the flowers and leaves that are from the Cherryblossom lane kit.  I added the flowers to the lovely flourished mauve paper which is subtle enough for the flowers to POP!

The sentiment was added using the Misti Tool which is my new favourite thing in my craft room, I have never been able to stamp straight before, so the fact I used three separate stamps on this card and achieved STRAIGHT stamping is a big deal.
I used Raspberry Jam Midtone Shadow Ink with my newest CTMH sentiment clear stamps for the sentiment.

Polkadoodles colouring

I coloured up this beauty last week and popped her on a project this weekend when I was at a retreat.  I wanted her to be the focus of the card (cause lets face it, she is stunning) so I printed her up large and made the card nice and simple.

Isn't she just a stunner, Eden Blossoms is from the Eden Collection from Polkadoodles and she colours up so well with lots of room for creativity.

Creative Fingers with Faery Ink

Another awesome sponsor this week at Creative Fingers and I got to play with Faery Ink's Beeyoutiful Fairy

I tried to keep some white space on the image but laughed when I completed the project at just how much white I left on her, I don't hate it but its definitely not what I had intended.

Im back to using inlinkz again for product list so you'll find the image link there too, be sure to visit the sponsor for other awesome images too.

So now its your turn, off to the Challenge you go with our Anything Goes challenge.

All Dressed Up - Challenge Time

I made this card a few weeks ago for this challenge and I need to say, I LOVE THIS IMAGE.  There is something just special about it.  It coloured up like a dream and I kept the card simple so the image was the focus.

I got some new SU dies which I used on this card, unfortunately they are either blunt or too skinny or just not what I expected, I had to shim up the sandwich in my big shot to get a nice cut happening, not sure if its the die or SU dies in general.  Thankfully I got it to work but boy was i narky about it.
The dies are HUGE,  that is what drew me to them in the first place, well that and the awesome matching stamp set that comes with them.

So my card is using Little Treasure

The Challenge as always is Anything Goes, but please make sure you use an All Dressed up Image, you can find a freebie by clicking on this link

Polkadoodle Brilliance

I am so thrilled to announce that I am honoured, excited, animated, thrilled, shocked, and nervous to say Im on the Polkadoodle DT.   I had only a few hours to create a project in between sleeping and working, but I can tell you those hours were filled with smiles.

This card was made with elements from the Work and Play 8 kit that can be downloaded or purchased on CD and I added Amelia to the bottom just because she is perfect.

Our theme for the Challenge is Birthday's, a great opportunity to get some must needed cards made for those special people in your lives.

I coloured Amelia with R80's and E10's and my normal skin colours of E000,00,04 and 11.  The digi paper layers were inked up with distress inks and wallah a clean and simple layout with a bit of pop!   I LOVE how easy it was to create the card on the computer, then cut out the elements on my Cameo and create.  Especially the scalloped frame that is 5 layers deep.   I was a little apprehensive about adding a paper bow but it worked well with that cute little flower from I am Roses.

Now its your turn head over to the challenge blog and link up your Birthday Card.

Be sure to visit all the Design Team blogs for more inspiration too.

Most importantly...  be enabled!  I know I have been the shop is full of must haves

Twistedvenus Hairnest

I think this is my current favourite EastWind image, I loved colouring her and spent ages trying to perfect her face,  this is the first time I have managed to give an image a slim lovely nose and I'm patting myself on the back.   I used MFT blueprints for the card so it came together quite quickly.

This beauty can be found at the store

The image lends itself to lots of detailed work which will be my goal when I colour it up again.   I think the car would definitely stand out in bright teal... if you saw that on the road!
Midnight colouring and colour choices are odd huh!
