Guest Designer for Incy Wincy

This is a little bit exciting!  Im a guest designer for Incy Wincy this week, as Robyns Fetish is sponsoring their challenge!
I got to play with this cute image that is available over at the shop

and Incy Wincy wanted Buttons and Bows...
I really like how this turned out it was fun to colour the image in and I also got to play
with my Basic Grey 6 inch paper pads... I can't believe its taken me this long to
cotton on to those!

I like how the image translated into a card, its not an image I would normally choose, so I really like the fact that it worked so well, and its made me realise I need to look at images a bit more closely when im shopping!
Maybe my "creative" side is starting to mature!

Im looking forward to seeing all your Incy Wincy creations!

Crafty Pad for I did it Creations Challenges

This week the Design team was asked to create
ANYTHING BUT A CARD!
of course I thought ahead of my study plans and bookmarks came to mind, im going to be doing a lot of reading and this little bookmark will make me smile when I want to give up.
I used this image
and came up with this project, i used copics to colour the butterfly and did a print and cut around the edges on it.  I also used two Tim Holtz embossing folders, my new favourite things to grab!

To enter the challenge you are encouraged to use
an image from the current sponsor but it isn't necessary.
To be in the weekly drawing for the prize you must use an
You may find a freebie on the challenge blog to play with... go and have a look and see!
We all do love freebies!

Creatalicious Challenge Time

Yes I know last month i said it was my last DT post for Creatalicious, but the wonderful Bec of Bizzy Bec's asked me to hang around for two more months... of course I jumped at the offer!
Bec got to choose the theme this month and she wants
Vintage
this is right up my alley at the moment... as i get to play with distress inks, edging and the like... sometimes I think I get vintage and distressing mixed up.. I know they are different but they do blend well together dont you think?

Can you see the slight swirl edging around the ballerina, I got this idea from Kylie (also on the DT for creatalicious) I saw it on her blog and had to try it.  I then uploaded my card to the Dt blog and laughed.. as Kylie had use her swirl edging on her DT card too. I said i would give her full credit for the fabulous idea and here it is!!  Kylie.. Its my new favourite technique!

I had such a ball with this card, when i made it i was NO motivation or MOJO going on.. so I sat and just played with some scrap paper, got my sewing machine out.. and used some punches oh and tried to use copics softly... this is the result.  I also copic'd the pearls as they were bright white.

Im really looking forward to seeing what everyone creates this month for this challenge..
Creatalicious challenges run monthly from the 15th of each month.  Be sure to visit!

Fanyella Designs for I did it Creations

Fanyella Design is sponsoring I did it creations this week and anything goes..
I chose to play with this beautiful lily image to try and work on my colour of flowers!

I think I did pretty well.. even though im fairly sure the lily isnt meant to be pink!  I even dove into my stash of basic grey 6inch papers to find that perfect background paper!~  This card is only 4inch's square.  It also have some stampin up ribbon on it and a stampin up sentiment with the oval punch.
You do not have to use our sponsors image to play along, but to be in the draw to win images from Fanyella please be sure to use one of her images in your project, you may find a freebie on the challenge blog to play with.
Entries close on Thursday night so be sure to link up your creations so we can all comment on your brilliance!j

a bit of an update

Talk about a whirlwind of a fortnight, I have started studying full time and have had to drop many of my DT gigs.. which upsets me....but something had to give.
So that said.. My I did it creations cards are uploaded and scheduled for a few weeks to come but I am no longer Dt'ing for Cooking it up with Katie and Aifactory.
A wonderful big big big Thank you to I did it creations, Aifactory and Cooking it up with Katie for allowing me to be on their DT's for the past 3-6months.
Im going to have some time on my hands "at some point" to actually craft for myself and start visiting blogs again....

Guest Designer For Crafty Catz

This week I did it Creations Shop is sponsoring the Crafty Catz Weekly challenge with a theme of Buttons and Bows.  I was given this beautiful image to play with

I used my new xpress it copic paper on this image, Im being very particular with its use.
I then decided to grab my spica, and gel rollers soufle's etc and i found out they actually stay shiny.. I had no clue!  Learning curve day for me, and Im happy!  I tried some blending techniques on the image wings and I really like how it turned out and Im playing a little with skin tones.. I must remember to write down what colours I prefer!  I even used dew drops... lots of my secret stash came out to play..

Now onto watermarking images.. I have to say I LOVE Digital scrapbook Artist (its a software program), but to add a watermark to your project its so easy...and i also use this program to open photos and save them in a smaller format for blog posting.  One click and its done.  Simplicity is the key!

Now pop on over to Crafty Catz Weekly challenge  and play along... and also to the shop to check out whats on offer!  Some of my favourite digi's are from here.
